Jean’s paintings take the form of coastal abstraction and are heavily influenced by the sea, the maritime climate and the Cornish coastal landscape.

Making use of a deep ocean colour palette and created in the Modernist tradition, the paintings reflect the immense power of the ocean through the fluid, energetic nature of line and strong geometric forms.
